Risk Factor Results: Low Risk

Based on your responses, your child is at a low risk for persistent stuttering at this time; no immediate action is recommended. If your child’s stuttering persists or worsens over the next 3 months, re-visit our Risk Factor Analysis tool. Things you can do in the meantime: continue to be patient while listening to your child, don’t interrupt or finish their sentences, maintain eye contact, don’t ask them to “fix” their speech, and set aside “down time” each day.
